The LMU International Cutting-Edge Conference (LICCON, 2026) is a premier gathering designed for sharing the latest insights into pioneering science, technological innovation and cutting-edge practices.
The conference is designed to be the definitive platform where pioneering science, technological innovation and cutting-edge practices converge to shape the major transformations in Science and Engineering Technologies across the African continent — fostering a platform for resilient innovations.
All accepted papers will be published in a Scopus-indexed journal outlet, subject to the journal's review process. Outstanding contributions will be recognized with Best Paper and Best Presenter awards. Our partner journals are listed in the publication section below.

Dr. Oluwarotimi W. Samuel is a Research Lead at the University of Derby, United Kingdom, where he leads the Digital Rehabilitation and Immersive Technologies (DRIT) Research Group within the Data Science Research Centre. His work focuses on developing robust, real-world deployable artificial intelligence systems that integrate multimodal data for applications in intelligent robotics, rehabilitation technologies, assistive systems, diagnostics, and human-centred computing. He brings a wealth of international academic and industrial expertise to LICCON 2026.
As the inaugural keynote speaker, he will address the transformative journey from artificial intelligence innovation to real-world impact, with emphasis on advancing resilient, sustainable, and human-centred technologies for industrial, societal, and global development.
